The Flettner 2000 wind driven roof vent is a high quality wind-powered rotary ventilator.
The Flettner 2000 is manufactured in the UK and is popular around the world, the Flettner 2000 has proved itself to be tough, durable and utterly reliable.
Capable of operating in extreme conditions this ventilator is used mostly on vans but also on other vehicles, boats and buildings.
From vans to buses, from ambulances to 4x4s and from fishing vessels to glider trailers the Flettner 2000 provides round the clock ventilation with no battery drainage. That means less heat build up, less condensation and no build up of dangerous fumes.
The Flettner 2000 extracts air. Well sealed vehicle compartments require additional air inlets such as grills to be fitted so that efficiency is not impaired.
Technically, the Flettner ventilator can be described as a centrifugal exhauster. A continuous and uniform exchange of air is produced by powerful suction, because it is an air extractor, there are no drafts.
The principle is deceptively simple: mounted on a spindle, the extractor fan is driven by an air scoop which catches the air stream created by the motion of the vehicle or the prevailing breeze. Beneath the spinning air scoop are vanes which expel air centrifugally, drawing stale air from below. The construction of the unit prevents the entry of rain, dust and down-drafts. Extraction capacity is remarkably effective and can be regulated by adjusting the shutter.
Wind power means a very quiet, totally maintenance free performance with no electrical connections, no battery drain, no running costs and no distracting motor noise.
There are two colour choices black and white.
Lifetime warranty (register with Flettner after purchase).
For roofs which are either ply-lined or double skinned the Flettner 2000 Adaptor should be used.
