The Hama Daytour 180 Camera backpack is a very well designed sturdy and spacious camera backpack. It is obvious that whoever developed the Hama Daytour 180 had really thought carefully about what a photographer needs in a camera and gear bag.
The Hama Daytour 180 allows quick access, mainly because of the two-way zip. While inside there is space for a digital SLR camera with lens, 8 additional lenses/flash and further accessories.
The lay out of the interior of the Hama Daytour 180 is nice and flexible due mainly to the use of hook-and-loop fastenings. No two photographers are going to use the bag in the same way and it's nice that some flexibility has been allowed for in this way - and there are even such things as a stabilizer for the lens.
Apart from the Daytour 180 backpack itself the good design extends to the after-thoughts. There are two large, elastic side compartments, one with a bottle holder. Inside there is a mesh compartment and three inner compartments for full/empty batteries and filters. There are also inner compartments for full/empty memory cards and cleaning cloth (a cloth is included with the backpack).
The shoulder straps are padded, as is the hip belt, back and handle. Also, the shoulder strap and hip belt have loops for attaching additional accessories. The chest strap is adjustable, which is vital if you have to carry the bag a long way, and there is a loop for attaching a tripod etc.
This is very much an outdoor camera and gear backpack so the bottom of the Hama Daytour 180 is rubberized so it is water-repellent and easy-to-clean. Water protection for the bag itself is provided by the rain protection cover. For the sake of safety the Daytour 180 has reflective piping.
The Hama Daytour 180 can be used as hand luggage. It is TÜV approved (shock-resistant, dust-tight and splash-proof).
