The TV Link form Global Invacom is one of the market leaders when it comes to magic eye controllers for Sky TV.
The Global TV Link eye sits on top of the remote TV (often in a bedroom). The TV needs to be connected to the Sky box (usually in a living room) by RF coaxial cable. Then the Global TV link is inserted into the TV RF aerial input and the cable goes into the Global TV Link (like a link in a chain). The Global TV Link sends the Sky remote control signals, from this room, to the Sky digital receiver using the same coaxial cable that sends the Sky pictures to the extended location.
It should be noted that if you wish to use the tvLINK® with a Sky+ or an HD receiver, you will need to use the relevant remote control in order to change channels.
To turn the power on from RF2 on a Sky Box: Using a Sky remote press Services, then press 4, then type in 0 1, select, then press 4. Make sure the RF 2 Power is switched ON.
On some new HD Boxes this process is now: Press Services, 0, 0, 1. Then press Select, then 4, then Select again. Highlight RF Outlet Power Supply, and toggle to ON.
Press the green button on the remote to save your settings.
